To our special grandaughter Charlotte
It's not fair
We wanted to get to know you, and see you smile
We wanted to buy presents and hug you awhile
We wanted to baby sit and look after you.
We wanted to spoil you like nanny and grandads are allowed to do
It's not fair
We wanted to see you play skip and run
We wanted to join in with you having this fun
We wanted to see you grow up and go to school
We wanted to buy You clothes you thought were cool
It's not fair
We wanted to see you grow older enjoying your life
We wanted to see you become someone's wife
We wanted to see you have a family of your own
We wanted to have you and your children come to our home
But alas you were taken from us all far to soon
The void you have left is the size of the moon
Baby Charlotte you will always be missed
The angels took you and the fairies they kissed
The most beutifull baby that has ever been seen,
God how could you have done this and been so mean
to take this baby away from her mummy and daddy
And leave the rest of her family thinking of her sadly
Resting on her own with her trinkets around
In a small whtie coffin deep in the ground,
I am sure God will look after her high up in the sky
If he fails He will have to answer to great grandma Vi
Who will be sure to put him in his place,
And put a smile on baby Charlottes face
As great grandmas go there has not been a better one made
Than the one who looked after my children great grandma Dade
So Charlotte until we meet again please know that we will always love you
Nanny and Grandad Smudge
